Presented to Arthur Slater by Yorkshire Television in recognition of his captaincy of the three boat British team in the Southern Cross series of races in Australia and also for their participation in the Admiral's Cup.
The concept sought to capture sculptural qualities of the sails, mast and hull of a yacht - rather than making a realistic model of a specific craft. Cast aluminium, stainless steel and laminated coloured acrylic.
