A desire to express the flow of light over a metallic form – the transition through a spectrum of tonal values creating an undulating and dynamic sculptural entity.
The prime curvilinear element is joined in a staggered linkage pattern, this offset positioning then creating further rhythmic effects which can reflect flowing water and aspects of textile patterning.
The patterning effect can be exploited to provide alternative visual solutions and such units can be combined into more complex and progressive arrangements. Silver plated gilding metal prototype – production development is envisaged in stainless steel.
